The 1888 edtion of James Conner’s Sons United States Type Foundry specimen book listed this little gem simply as “Antique Light”.

Its original, rather anemic outlines have been beefed up and its serifs have been rounded, with the result that this face will get noticed wherever it goes.

Both versions of this font include the complete Latin 1252 and CE 1250 character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.
